The new patch anoounced to be released by Blizzard will force all users to login using a Battle.net account.
This method is used allready for Diablo II and StarCraft II. This way the company will easy up the update work and will fight back against hakers atempt to steal world of warcraft accounts. It is a fact that many wow accounts were haked during the last year for a simple porpuse of selling the gold. A lot of players recovered the stolen account with no gold or eaven items on they characters and could do noting about it.
